Proven Technology Both of Colorado’s in-line engines are based on the award-winning Vortec 4.2L I6 powerplant used in the TrailBlazer, and use much of the same technology, including: - Strong, lightweight all-aluminum design. - High, 10:1 compression ratio. - Four valves per cylinder. - Dual overhead camshafts (DOHC). - Variable Valve Timing (VVT). - Electronic throttle and spark control. - Coil-on plug ignition.

Dual balance shafts Both engines include dual balance shafts that counteract the combustion-related vibrations. This design provides smooth, quiet operation.

Cargo carrying capability. - 6'1" box on Regular and Extended Cab models provides 44.0 cu. ft. of cargo volume. - 5'1" box on Crew Cabs provides 37.0 cu. ft. of cargo volume. - Six tie downs, 2-tier loading. - Locking, 2-position tailgate. - Optional box side steps (Regular and Extended Cabs). - 60/40-rear seat on Crew Cab models can be folded down completely to provide a wide, flat load floor, or folded in sections to allow a combination of passengers and cargo. A complete portfolio of midsize pickups Colorado offers Regular, Extended and Crew Cab models in 2WD or 4WD. Also, a variety of trim levels, three different suspensions, and individual equipment packages allow Colorado to be set up as a work truck, performance street cruiser, or a family hauling pickup.

Suspension choice determines model Each of Colorado’s three suspension packages drives the truck’s stance. - ZQ8 Sport Suspension (2WD only) - Lowest riding, street stance with a comfortable step-in height. - Z85 Standard Suspension (2WD or 4WD) - Rides 2" taller than Sport models, about an inch lower than the Z71- equipped models. Generally, this provides the just right stance most customers are looking for. - Z71 Off-Road Suspension (2WD or 4WD) - Highest riding Colorado model with a stance that’s about 3" taller than models equipped with the Sport Suspension.

Three trim levels. WT: Primarily intended for fleet customers and those looking for work trucks. Only available on Regular and Extended Cab Colorados. One version: 1WT. - LS: Primarily intended for customers looking for an economical, yet comfortable and well-contented truck. Only available on Regular and Extended Cab Colorados. One version: 1LS. LS emblem added to tailgate. - LT: Recommended for most retail customers. Available Regular and Extended Cab models, and required on Crew Cabs. Three versions: 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT. LT emblem added to tailgate.

LT 60/40 split-front bench seat Provides room for three adults; cloth upholstery with recline adjustment and folddown center armrest.

LT cloth trim Provides a more luxurious feel and look over the LS trim.

New LT trim color Ebony, available in both cloth and leather applications.

Optional high-back front bucket seats Includes floormounted center console and dual cup holders, available on LT models. Crew Cabs offer optional leather-trimmed high back bucket seats with 8-way power driver seat and 6-way power passenger seat.
