  • Vortec 4.2L I6 engine Standard on TrailBlazer, this in-line engine features a very rigid structure that contributes to smooth, quiet performance. A coil-on-plug ignition system produces a high-energy spark and uses an advanced spark sensing and control system for consistent responsiveness. Electronically controlled valve timing further increases the performance and responsiveness of this engine. - 285 hp @ 6000 rpm. - 276 lb.-ft. torque @ 4600 rpm.
  • Vortec 5.3L V8 engine with Active Fuel Management This available engine features all aluminum design and Active Fuel Management, which is designed to operate in two basic modes one where all eight cylinders operate and provide full power, and another where only four cylinders function. This allows for enhanced fuel economy while still delivering all the power necessary to operate the vehicle in steady state, low-load conditions. - 300 hp @ 5300 rpm. - 321 lb.-ft. torque @ 4000 rpm.

  • Vortec 6.0L LS2 V8 engine This engine is similar to that used in the Corvette. In addition, or on vehicles without a Driver Information Center, there will be a solid indication of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System telltale. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System is automatic and cannot be turned off.
