Three suspension choices Are matched to specific HHR models: - FE1 Touring Suspension: Provides a softer ride with a solid, precise feel. Standard on LS and 1LT Passenger and Panel models. - FE3 Sport Suspension: Provides a firmer ride and tighter handling characteristics to meet more demanding driving requirements. Standard on 2LT Passenger and Panel models. - FE5 Performance Handling Suspension: Uses SS-specific gas-charged twin-tube struts, revised coil springs with specific damper tuning and a direct-acting 23mm solid stabilizer bar in the front and monotube gas-charged shocks with a 24mm solid stabilizer bar and multi-rate coil springs in the rear. Standard on SS models.

4-wheel ABS brakes Standard on all models. Front disc/ rear drum are standard on LS and LT and SS models add 4-wheel discs with ABS.

StabiliTrak Now standard on all models. Helps the driver correct oversteer and understeer conditions to keep the vehicle traveling in the intended direction. Working in tandem with ABS and traction control, StabiliTrak’s sensors monitor driver steering input and vehicle response and automatically applies brake pressure and, if necessary, adjusts engine torque to help the driver get the vehicle back on track.

Electric Power Steering (EPS) Automatically varies the steering effort to provide crisp control at highway speed and easy maneuverability at lower speeds. Standard on all models.

All-speed, full-function traction control Standard on all models to ensure smooth take-offs in slick conditions.

G85 limited-slip differential Available on SS models with the 5-speed manual transmission only.

Performance Package (J56) Is available on SS models with the manual transmission. It includes the G85, Brembo front brakes with 4-piston calipers, Brembo linings and performance rotors.
