2020 Chevrolet Equinox Trim Level Comparison

The 2020 Chevrolet Equinox features four trim levels: the L, LS, LT, and the Premier. There are also different packages, which are similar to trim levels in that they add particular features for a set extra price. The most notable packages are the Equinox Midnight Edition and the Redline Edition. We’ll start with a description of those and move onto more specific trim level information below.

The Equinox Midnight Edition is only available on the LT trim level. It adds black accent features like a black grille, black wheels, black seating, and more. If you want to go full dark mode, consider choosing a black exterior paint option to complete the look.

The Redline Edition is an option for the Premier trim level. It is like the Equinox Midnight Edition in that it adds some black accents, but it also has a street-inspired design and some additional red accents. For black accents, it adds a black grille, black wheels, black mirror caps, a black bowtie emblem, and more. On top of that, the red accents include red accents on the wheels and a red outline for its badges.

We’ve already seen that the different trim levels are available with different packages, but what else changes between the trim levels? Some notable differences are in technology features and prices. The base trim level, the L, starts out at $23,800. The LS trim level starts out at $26,300 and gains value with Apple CarPlay ® and Android Auto ™ compatibility as well as more available packages and LED daytime running lamps.

The two highest trim levels, the LT and Premier, come with the available Equinox Midnight Edition and Redline Edition respectfully. Of course, they also start out at slightly higher MSRPs (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices). The LT starts out at $27,500 and adds heated seating and a power driver seat and lumbar support for your lower back. Lumbar support can help prevent the strain that you feel from sitting for long periods of time.

As the highest trim level, the Premier starts out at $31,400 and adds leather seating material, unique wheels, and a hands-free power liftgate. The hands-free liftgate can be operated without touching the rear door, which frees up your hands for carrying things. The Premier is the best that you can get and has every technology and comfort feature you could dream of.
