The L trim level of the 2020 Chevrolet Malibu is the lowest option, which is also called the base trim level. For that price, you’ll get a car with a 1.5 L turbocharged engine, a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), and 10 airbags.

The LS is the second-lowest trim level. It starts out at $23,220, making it just over a grand more than the base trim level. For that extra price, you will receive everything that is on the L, and the additional features of a compass, an outside temperature display, visor vanity mirrors for the driver and front passenger, Teen Driver technology, and an acoustic laminated windshield.
Moving up to the RS trim level, you’ll get everything on the LS trim level, plus unique badging, a chrome grille surround, black grille inserts, 18-inch wheels, and dual exhaust outlets. Those features are what make the RS trim level the most uniquely styled. Starting at $24,220, the RS trim level is a great option for those of us who like some extra pizzazz on our vehicles.
Going up the ranks, we start to move into the most high-end, luxury options. The LT starts out at $26,620 and has everything that the RS has to offer. In addition to those features, it also adds LED daytime running lamps, outside heated mirrors, heated cloth seats, and a body-colored antenna.
Finally, the highest trim level is the 2020 Chevrolet Malibu Premier. Starting at $33,320, the Premier trim level is a great option for anyone seeking a luxury sedan at an affordable price. This model has everything that all of the lower trim levels offer, plus it has a 2 L turbocharged engine, a 9-speed automatic transmission, chrome door handles, 19-inch wheels, and bright sill plates.
