National Corvette Day is June 30th

In 2008, the United States House of Representatives declared June 30th as National Corvette Day. This historic car now has a day dedicated to it – and rightfully so. The Corvette was first produced in Flint Michigan. Production was then moved to Missouri in 1954, at which point mass production went into full swing for the beloved vehicle. In 1981, GM moved production to Bowling Green Kentucky, where the car has been built at 600 Corvette Drive ever since.

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray moves the car into supercar territory, with a mid-engine design and the most powerful production motor in its storied history. This optional motor is a naturally aspirated V8. It produces 495 horsepower and 470 foot-pounds of torque. It provides thrilling performance and incredible track times.

The 2023 model also has a 70th-anniversary edition available, with special badging, as well as a variety of other special features. It’s no wonder Congress has a day just for the Corvette. It’s as American as baseball, hot dogs, and apple pie!
