What are my warranty options for my 2020 Chevrolet vehicle?

It is important to know what type of coverage you can get on your next Chevrolet vehicle. Chevrolet warranties come in a wide variety and each has its own benefits. Read on below to learn about your 2020 Chevrolet vehicle warranty options.

2020 Chevrolet Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty

Your Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty will last 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first after the date of purchase. You will have no deductible for eligible warranty repairs. Eligible repairs include those due to defects from material or workmanship.

2020 Chevrolet Optional Extended Limited Warranty

When you purchase your 2018, 2019, or 2020 Chevrolet vehicle, you will have the option to purchase an Extended Limited Warranty, which will last for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. The coverage is the same as the Bumper-to-Bumper warranty.

2020 Chevrolet Powertrain Limited Warranty

The Powertrain Limited Warranty lasts for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, on 2019 and 2020 Chevrolet vehicles. Certain models are covered for an extended range of miles, including qualified commercial fleets and government vehicles.

2020 Chevrolet Emission Control System Limited Warranty

Different components are covered for different lengths under the Emission Control System Limited Warranty. Ask our team for more details. The following are general guidelines from Chevrolet:

  • 2 years or 24,000 miles for defects and performance of car and light-duty truck emission control systems
  • 8 years or 80,000 miles for specified major components
  • 5 years or 50,000 miles for defects and performance of light-duty trucks equipped with heavy-duty gasoline engines and having a gross vehicle weight rating greater than 8,500 pounds

2020 Chevrolet Electric and Hybrid Warranty

In the United States, Electric and Hybrid vehicle components will be covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. This is in addition to the Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty and starts from the original in-service date.

2020 Chevrolet Additional Coverage

With a purchase or lease of a new Chevrolet vehicle, there are additional benefits. For 2019 and 2020 GM vehicles, the 24-Hour Roadside Assistance Program is one example of a complimentary service.

2020 Chevrolet Protection Plans

Another option to cover your new Chevrolet vehicle is to purchase a Chevrolet protection plan. These plans cover a variety of vehicle components. One example is the Chevrolet Tire and Wheel Protection plan that covers those specific vehicle parts.
